KTR Accuses BJP Of Threatening Medak Voters
The Telangana Information Minister said the BJP had been threatening voters that the Centre would stop schemes in Medak if they didn't vote for Jagga Reddy.
Telangana Information Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Thursday accused BJP candidate Jagga Reddy of threatening the voters of the Medak Lok Sabha constituency while seeking their votes in the by-election.
Participating in the electioneering at Patencheru, Medak and other places, KTR said that the BJP had been threatening voters that the Centre would stop development schemes in Medak if they didn't vote for Jagga Reddy.
He said that such threats would not work in favour of the BJP, and that people would instead reject the party and its candidate.
He said that the TRS candidate Kotha Prabhakar Reddy was all set to win the by-election with a thumping majority.
Accusing the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre of not cooperating with the Telangana government, he said that the Centre should have extended support to the government of a new State - instead of wielding threats, the Telangana BJP leaders should be playing an active role in strengthening the relationship between the State and the Centre, he stated.
KTR said that Jagga Reddy had already been rejected by the people of Sangareddy, and that he would face a humiliating defeat in the Medak Lok Sabha by-election. (INN)
