KCR Expresses Deep Shock Over Medak Bus Accident

KCR announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the family of each of the dead, and said the medical expenditure of the injured will be borne by the government.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed deep shock over the road accident in Masayipet of Veldhurthi mandal of the Medak district in which 20 school children have died and 15 have been injured.

The CM is constantly monitoring and reviewing the situation personally, with the Chief Secretary and the DGP of the State.

KCR has announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the family of each of those who died in the accident.

He also said that the entire medical expenditure of the injured students will be borne by the government of Telangana.

In a message, the Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the families of the children who died in the accident.

He also ordered an inquiry into the accident.

The Chief Minister conveyed his displeasure and anger over the incident to the South Central Railway General Manager C K Srivatsava. The General Manager has assured the CM that gates will be arranged at all level crossings within a week. (INN)
