Kurasam Mothi Bai a.k.a Madhavi, head of the Maoists south Bastar division committee in Chattisgarh, and wife of North Telangana Special Zonal Committee secretary Chandranna, was apprehended by the police at the Bhadrachalam-Kothagudem main road, on Monday.
She was with two others - A. Prudvi, an integrated M.A student from Hyderabad Central University, and his father, A. Dharmaraju, a Chirala railway employee. The trio were caught after they had successfully sped past a road-checking drive organised by the Bhadrachalam police, and when their vehicle overturned after hitting a pole on the road.
It has been repirted that Madhavi was heading towards Vijayawada for getting treatment for some ailment.
Madhavi and Prudvi were produced before a court on Tuesday, and they have been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. (INN)
