MANUU Lecturer Awarded

Dr. Shahid Naukhez Azmi, an Asst. Professor of Persian at MANUU, has been selected for the "Maha Rishi Badrayan Vyas Samman 2011".

A professor of Moualana Azad National Urdu University has been selected for a prestigious President's award.

Dr. Shahid Naukhez Azmi, Asst. Professor of Persian, has been selected for the "Maha Rishi Badrayan Vyas Samman 2011".

This award is meant for emerging young Scholars for Sanskrit, Persian, and Arabic and Pali.

According to the Press Information Bureau, the distinction is conferred once a year on the Independence Day, in recognition of substantial contribution in the field of Sanskrit, Pali/Prakrit, Arabic and Persian.

Dr. Shahid Naukhez Azmi is the author of a dozen literary books. His research-based articles are published regularly in referred journals in India & abroad. The UGC has also granted him a Major Research Project. (INN)
