Manasvi Mamgai Is Miss India 2010

Manasvi Mamgai, a 22-year-old BCA student from Andheri in Mumbai, has won the Pantaloons Femina Miss India (2010) World 2010 title. Neha Hinge from Pune won the Miss India International 2010 crown, and Bangalore lass Nicole Faria won the Miss India Earth 2010 title.

Manasvi also bagged the titles "WGC Collection G Femina Girl With A Golden Heart" and "Gorgeous Femina Miss Beautiful Skin". Neha Hinge was adjudged "Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face" and "Apna Circle Femina Miss Professional", while Nicole Faria won the "Kohler Femina Miss Bold" and "HP Gadget Girl Of The Year" titles.

The glitzy finale of the beauty pageant was held at NCPA in Mumbai on Friday. The 18 finalists performed to some Bollywood numbers in bare-all costumes, as part of the opening act of the ceremony.

The judges for the contest were author Chetan Bhagar, fashion designer Ritu Beri, Bollywood actors Kunal Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty, boxer Vijender Singh, film director Anurag Basu and Sania Mirza Malik.

Several brands - only some of which are related to beauty and fashion - have collaborated with the mega eye-candy event. While it is a well-known fact that Bollywood directors Madhur Bhandarkar and Vipul Shah had tied up with the Miss India contest to hunt for talent for their upcoming projects, the hospitality industry, travel giants and media houses have also benefited from the event.
