Endowments minister C Ramachandraiah, on Friday, announced that the state government would take up repair works at dilapidated temples, under the
Mana Gudi program launched across the state on Thursday.
Talking to media persons after laying the foundation stone for reconstruction works of the 100-year-old Seetharama temple at Angaluru (Gudlavalleru mandal) in Krishna district, Ramachandraiah said the Mana Gudi program provides people with an opportunity to tell the government about temples in need of repairs.
Stating that the Endowments department was not facing any paucity of funds for the reconstruction of temples, he said that the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam would also extend its help in this regard.
He said that the TTD is co-sponsoring the event to protect and promote Hindu dharma. (INN)
