Mallanna Sagar: HC Rejects Telangana's Revised GO

The High Court expressed discontent over the revised GO submitted by the Telangana government as it did not fulfill the compensation standards set by it.
Hyderabad | 11th August 2016
The Hyderabad High Court's division bench today expressed its discontent over the revised GO 123 submitted by the Telangana government as it did not seem to fulfill the compensation and rehabilitation standards set by it (the bench).

The government supposedly did not disclose any specific steps to provide succour to the evacuees. Observing that the revised GO was inarticulate, the court directed the government's counsel to submit a more comprehensive affidavit on all the steps it meant to take to compensate and rehabilitate the oustees.

The High Court then adjourned the hearing to August 16.
