Maintain Restraint For Final Decision: Botsa

Asking Telangana leaders to maintain restrain, Botsa Satyanarayana said that provocative statements on the issue were only worsening the situation.
Hyderabad | 29th January 2013
Defending the Centre, Pradesh Congress Party president Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday said that more consultations were needed to resolve the Telangana issue.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Botsa said that the final decision on Telangana could not be taken in haste. Therefore, more consultations were needed to resolve the issue. Asking the T-leaders to maintain restrain, he said that provocative statements on the issue were only worsening the situation.

Botsa claimed that the Congress party has been maintaining one stand on the issue from the beginning while the Telugu Desam Party has been changing its stand frequently. He requested all the political parties to wait for the final decision before expressing their reactions.

The PCC president also slammed TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao for criticising Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh over the issue. He said that the sacrifices made by the Nehru-Gandhi family were known to the world. He asked KCR not to make personal attacks on national leaders. (INN)
