Madhavi Latha Stages Protest Over Sri Reddy's Remarks On Paw

Telugu film actress Madhavi Latha staged a silent protest before the Film Chamber on Wednesday protesting the remarks of another actress Sri Reddy against Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.

Upon knowing of the protest, the police reached the spot immediately and arrested Latha and shifted her to the Jubilee Hills Police Station. They also arrested the supporters of Latha.

The police said that Latha hadn't taken the permission of the local police before taking up her protest program, and hence they had arrested her.

The police released her in the afternoon. Producer Puppala Ramesh and actress Hema came to the police station to extend support to Latha.

Speaking to the media at the police station, Latha said that it was not correct on the part of Sri Reddy to use abusive language towards Pawan Kalyan. She also said that Pawan Kalyan had no link with the casting couch.

Puppala Ramesh said that the fight of Sri Reddy against the casting couch was good, but the path she chose was not correct.
