Movie Artistes' Association (MAA) new president Dr Rajendra Prasad called on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the state secretariat on Monday.
The Chief Minister felicitated Dr Rajendra Prasad and assured that the state government would extend all the necessary cooperation and assistance to the film industry.
Stating that Dr Rajendra Prasad had vast experience and control over the film industry, KCR expressed hope that Dr Prasad would address issues concerning all sections of the film industry.
He also assured a meeting with prominent personalities of the Telugu film industry to resolve pending issues.
Speaking to the media later, Dr Prasad described his meeting with the Chief Minister as formal, and expressed confidence that KCR would continue his support for the film industry. (INN)
