Members from various animal welfare organizations met Hyderabad MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi at the MIM office today, presenting him with a "Love For Cow" memento.
Jasmat Patel, Chairman of the Love For Cow Foundation, along with managing trustee Ridesh Jagirdar and trustee R K Jain, briefed Owaisi on the foundation's activities and other animal welfare efforts.
Patel shared that the foundation promoted the idea of people saving at least one rupee every day for "Gau Mata", totalling approximately Rs 30 monthly and Rs 365 annually. They also discussed the importance of preserving cows for future generations.
Clearly caught in an awkward situation, Owaisi spoke ambivalently, randomly expressing his commitment to public service. "We shall do our best for the people and leave the rest to Allah. Our party leaders are always available to help," he said.
He also paid tribute to the late Ramesh Jagirdar, a senior Hindi journalist and founder of numerous animal welfare organizations, describing him as a dedicated reformer and a compassionate leader who served both the nation and society.
