Locals Protest Demolition For Road Expansion In Gachibowli

Residents of Gopannapally of the Gachibowli area today staged a protest against the demolition of their properties for the expansion of a road to Tellapur.

The local residents and businessmen of Gopannapally of the Gachibowli area today staged a protest against the demolition of their properties by the GHMC and revenue officials for the expansion of a road from Gopannapally to Tellapur.

They alleged that the officials concerned had not served any notice on them before taking up the demolition drive.

The local corporator, of the BJP, reached the spot and entered into an argument with the officials. However the officials told the corporator that they had served notices on the owners of the properties in 2017 itself.

Heavy police force was deployed in the area.
