Former minister B Dharmana Prasada Rao, on Wednesday, appeared before CBI officials at Dilkusha Guest House, in connection with the case related to land allotments made for Lepakshi Knowledge Hub in Anantapur.
Dharmana, who has been named as an accused in the CBI's chargesheet in the Disproportionate Assets case of YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy, was summoned by the CBI for questioning on Tuesday.
According to sources, he is being questioned about the alleged irregularities in the land allotments made for Lepakshi Knowledge Hub while he was the Revenue Minister during the regime of former chief minister late Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
This is the third time that Dharmana has appeared before the CBI in the quid pro cases.
Dharmana was forced to resign from the cabinet after he was named an accused by the CBI. Later, the CBI filed a memo seeking judicial custody of Dharmana and another former minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy, which was rejected by the court. (INN)
