The Old City's famed Lal Darwaza Bonalu were celebrated on a grand scale on Sunday.
Thousands of devotees thronged the temples to have a darshan of the goddess since early in the morning, and women devotees offered bonams to the goddess to mark the occasion.
The authorities made elaborate arrangements to avoid any inconvenience for the devotees, including arranging makeshift sheds to shield the devotees in case of rain.
It was not just the Lal Darwaza temple, of course - people across the city celebrated the festival with gaiety and fervour. All the temples were decked up for the festival in many parts of the city, and women were seen standing in queue lines and offering bonams to the goddess in their respective areas.
The police made the necessary arrangements for hassle-free darshan of the goddesses at the temples.
