Refusing to speak about the present political climate, former Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal said that he was staying away from politics and would not comment on them.
Rajagopal had come to the Khairatabad RTA office for the registration of his new Skoda car on Wednesday. He met both the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Transport Commissioners on the occasion.
Upon knowing of Lagadapati's presence at the RTA office, mediapersons rushed to him and asked him to respond on the present politics. He responded saying that he would not speak about politics as he was staying away from them since the division of united Andhra Pradesh.
It may be recalled that Lagadapati Rajagopal took a pledge during the Telanagana movement that he would leave politics in case the Centre divided Andhra Pradesh. He stuck to his promise and indeed quit politics after the division of State.
