BRS MLA K T Rama Rao today lashed out at Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka.
"Why are you so scared on the very first day of the session?" KTR asked Vikramarka when the latter interrupted his speech and asked him to talk about the ten-year rule of the BRS.
KTR was speaking during a discussion on the motion of thanks for the Governor's address in the Assembly.
Referring to the comments of the Governor that there had been destruction in Telangana for 10 years in the BRS' rule, he said that they should also talk about the 50 years of destruction in the Congress' rule.
"Pargi MLA Rammohan Reddy mentioned the name of former Chief Minister Rajasekhar Reddy. Ponnam Prabhakar then shouted that we should not talk about AP history. Sadly, it was their own member who was trapping them. Don't we have to tell the truth? Why is it so disturbing to talk about the inability of the Congress governments to provide irrigation waters, drinking waters and electricity?" KTR asked, and also referred to a speech by Revanth Reddy on June 25, 2014, where Reddy himself had blamed the Congress rule for lack of water in his native place.
He also claimed that the plight of the people of the State in the Congress' rule was miserable.
"Indiramma's kingdom means starvation deaths, porridge centres and fake encounters. And isn't it these same Congress leaders who silently gave arati to the Andhra leaders despite the loss of money to our region? Nobody reacted when then CM Kiran Kumar Reddy roared that he would not give a single rupee to the Telangana region. When we were resigning for Telangana statehood, who closed their lips for the sake of their posts? When the word Telangana was banned in the same House, not a single Congress MLA dared to speak. Now they're talking tall. The history of closing their lips for the sake of the posts is definitely the hallmark of the Telangana Congress leaders," KTR said.
He said that constructive suggestions would be made by his party to the State government. "A new government has come. We are not in a hurry. We will give them three months. Our leader has said this government will become an utter flop within three months," he said.
