BRS working president K T Rama Rao today lashed out at the Congress for its "deception, distortion and distraction" policy, which he called the 3D-regime.
During the launch of the BRS' diary at Telangana Bhavan, he strongly condemned the Congress government for its "corrupt" practices and "failure" to fulfill promises, including the payment of Rs 15,000 per acre to farmers and benefits to tenant farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
Talking about the Formula E corruption case that was filed against him, he said that when compared to the sacrifices made by activists during the Telangana statehood movement and the difficulties faced by farmers in the Lagacherla case, the allegations against him were insignificant.
"We are not afraid of cases because this is nothing new to us. And the current circumstances are minor in comparison to the struggles endured by our Telangana martyrs. The Congress is deceiving the farmers each day, and we must unite the people to combat this much greater injustice," he said.
Taking on the Congress over its promises, he said that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had honoured his electoral pledge to his citizens by providing a pension of Rs 2,500 to women following his victory, but the Congress government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had cheated people by not implementing its six guarantees.
KTR also said that the Congress spokesperson in Delhi was lying that the Telangana government was giving Rs 2,500 per month each to 90 lakh women, and told every activist of the BRS to fight like party K Chandrashekhar Rao against the Congress's false propaganda and failures.
"Today is January 8. There are still 350 days ahead of us. Go to every household and tell the people about the fraud done by Revanth Reddy in the Rythu Bharosa scheme. Our activists should tell the people that the State government owes them Rs 17,500," KTR said.
Announcing plans for 2025, he urged the cadre to focus on initiatives like forming new committees, registering memberships and electing party leaders.
