TRS working president and minister K T Rama Rao said that the defeat of the TRS in the Huzurabad by-election was not significant.
The TRS had seen many highs and lows in the last 20 years, and the Huzurabad by-election was too important, he opined.
On a tour abroad, KTR posted his views on a tweet.
The TRS leader congratulated party candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav for his "spirited fight" in the by-election.
He also extended his thanks to the ministers who had campaigned for the by-election including Harish Rao, Gangula Kamalakar and Koppula Eshwar, and other TRS leaders.
KTR urged the party leaders to get ready with fight with increased resolve hereon.
Another senior TRS leader and Finance Minister T Harish Rao said that the party would abide by the people's verdict in the by-election, and continue to work for development.
He however alleged that the BJP had colluded with the Congress against the TRS.
"The two national parties colluded against the TRS, and the people are watching their drama," he said. "The TRS will however not worry about the defeat and will learn from the result. And we will work continue to work for the development of the state and the welfare of the people."
