The Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) today concluded its meeting at Jala Soudha.
Chairman R K Gupta, other board members, and officials of both the States attended the meeting.
The Chairman announced that 140 TMC waters was being allotted to Telangana, and 84 TMC to Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to the media later, Gupta said the river waters were being allocated in the ratio of 66:34 between the two Telugu States.
He said that the Telangana officials had urged the board to consider an additional 45 TMC for the State, and approval to use 20% of the waters for domestic purposes.
The board said that it would take these appeals to the notice of the Central Water Commission.
