Distressed by the fact that she was not invited to the Congress working committee elections, former minister Konda Surekha on Friday revealed that she had written a 4-page letter to All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Sonia Gandhi.
Talking to media persons, Surekha said that she had been mentally disturbed by the absence of her name in the list of invitees issued by All India Congress Committee.
Surekha expressed her sadness for not being invited for the polls, even though she was from a backward caste. She said that even Marreppa, who was from a schedule caste and other leaders from the State such as K Keshava Rao, G Venkatswamy, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and Lagadapati Rajagopal were invited to the polls.
Surekha further questioned why the High Command had not taken any action against the senior Congress leader and Member Of Parliament V Hanumanth Rao, who had behaved like a 'street rowdy' at Mahabubnagar.
The former minister further questioned why the High Command had not taken any action against Guntur MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, who had raised fingers at cabinet ministers and accused them of indulging in corruption.
Surekha also charged the government of supporting those persons who were planning to kill her husband.
