Congress MLC Konda Murali, on Friday, filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, challenging his disqualification as a member of State Legislative Council by its chairman Dr. A Chakrapani - who had disqualified him for alleged anti-party activities.
In his petition, Konda Murali alleged that Council chairman A Chakrapani had acted at the behest of Congress leaders and disqualified him without hearing his version.
"Instead of following established rules and regulations of the Legislature in initiating action against him, Chakrapani acted as per the directions of Congress whip Sivarami Reddy," alleged Konda Murali.
It may be mentioned here that Konda Murali was disqualified based on a complaint lodged by Congress whip Sivarami Reddy, that he was indulging in anti-party activities by getting close to the YSR Congress party. (INN)
