Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao unveiled a statue of Bapuji in Sircilla and recollected his struggle for separatehood for the Telangana region.
Minister for Excise Srinivas Goud garlanded a portrait of Bapuji at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi, and recollected his association with the freedom fighter during the struggle for a separate Telangana State.
The minister said that Bapuji had actively participated in the Quit India movement, the Mukhi movement and the Telangana agitation, and had played a key role in these struggles.
Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav garlanded the statue of Bapuji at Jala Drushyamin in Hyderabad and paid rich tributes to him.
Stating that throughout his life Bapuji had fought for the weaker sections and the oppressed, as well as for statehood for the Telangana region, Yadav said that the State government had been immortalising Bapuji's selfless service for society by organising his birth and death anniversaries officially.
Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy paid tributes to a portrait of Bapuji at his residence in Bansuwada in Kamareddy district. He said that the life of Bapuji was an inspiration to the present and future generations, and that Bapuji would be remembered for his hard work and selfless service for the people.
