Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today responded to the claims of Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who claimed that he was in touch with the former, and refuted the claims.
He asserted that he was never in touch with Kumar.
Referring to his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Reddy said that he had met with Modi to discuss the National Highway projects in his constituency and the scam in the coal mine tenders.
Responding to speculation about his leaving the Congress, he said that his decision would depend upon the developments after the acceptance of the resignation of his young brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy's resignation from the Munugodu MLA post by the Speaker of the Assembly.
Reddy refused to comment on the claims of Kumar that the BJP would win the Munugodu Assembly constituency by-election, and pointed out that Rajagopal Reddy had not yet resigned from his MLA post.
Earlier, speaking in the Yadadri district, Kumar claimed that Venkat Reddy was in touch with him, and that the veteran leader of the Congress had spoken in favour of Prime Minister Modi and the BJP.
