Komatireddy Asks Congress To Work With TRS Govt
The Congress MLA said TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah had never been in the statehood movement, and was responsible for the Party's electoral debacle.
Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Tuesday advised the Telangana Congress leaders to cooperate with the TRS Government in stabilizing things in the new State.
Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat Media Point after meeting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the former minister said that it was too early for the Opposition Parties to criticise the new government of a new State.
Further, he said that TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah had no right to criticise KCR. He alleged that Ponnala had never participated in the statehood movement, and had later became responsible for the Party's debacle in the 2014 elections.
Komatireddy also dismissed rumours of him leaving the Congress party. He said that he would stay with the Congress, although his first priority would be Telangana.
He said that the Telugu Desam Party and Seemandhra leaders of the Congress were responsible for the backwardness of Telangana.
Giving details of his meeting with the Chief Minister, Komatireddy said that he proposed the construction of a medical college and a Super-Specialty Hospital on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway.
He said that this would enable proper medicare for the people, especially accident victims on the highway.
He said that he had also discussed the problems of the farmers of the Nalgonda district. (INN)
