Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman M Kodandaram has declined the invitation of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao to represent the TRS along with him at the all-party meeting on Telangana being held on December 28.
Talking to reporters after a JAC meeting, Kodandaram said that JAC members have decided that he should not represent the TRS as it might send wrong signals among the people.
He said that being the chairman of the JAC, "the representative body of pro-Telangana parties and groups", he would "spearhead the agitation in the region" rather than attend the all-party meeting.
Kodandaram said that "deekshas" would be organised at all mandal headquarters on December 26 to pressurise all political parties to speak in favour of Telangana statehood in the all-party meeting.
Also, a dharna will be organised at Indira Park on December 27, while a mass protest is being planned in New Delhi on December 28. (INN)
