Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) party founder president M Kodandaram today slammed the TRS-led state government for the increase in the prices of electricity, and alleged that it was a classic example of the inefficient rule of the TRS.
He alleged that the purchase of power at high prices was leading to the increase in the power charges.
He made these remarks while addressing a gathering after announcing the party candidates for various Assembly constituencies of the undivided Nalgonda district.
He declared the candidature of Dharmarjun Reddy for the Suryapet and D Srinivas Reddy for the Huzurnagar Assembly constituencies.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the discoms would not have had any kinds of losses if the state government had cleared its arrears to them, and that the discoms were facing their losses due to the inefficient policies of the state government.
Also targeting the state government on the issue of paddy procurement, he alleged that the former had failed to convince the union government on the issue.
Saying that that there was a need to reject politics which didn't care for the welfare of the people of the state, he claimed that there was a need to change the present government as soon as possible, and called upon the people to encourage his party as it was striving hard to bring change in the state.
