Demanding that the Telangana government release a calendar for recruitment to the 84,000 jobs promised by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in his Independence Day speech, TJAC chairman M Kodandaram asked the CM to disclose the split-up of the jobs and the date of release of the job notification.
Speaking at a conference of the unemployed on Wednesday organised by AIYF at Khammam Bhaktha Ramadasu Kala Kshetram in Khammam, Kodandaram demanded that the state government provide the jobs in a specified time frame. He also announced that the TJAC would take out a huge rally of unemployed youth in Hyderabad to mount pressure on the state government after Dasara.
"We successfully fought for Telangana. Now we are fighting for justice for the 1,200 youths who sacrificed their lives for a separate Telangana," he said.
Kodandaram also accused the government of helping sand contractors in Nerella, and also alleged corruption in the Mission Bhagiratha project.
