Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) convenor M Kodandaram today asked why the Singareni workers were being lured by some persons through the hosting of dinners and organising of entertainment programs.
He asked the workers to give a fitting reply to such people by exercising their vote in the upcoming union elections.
Kodandaram alleged that the TRS government was only trying to mislead the Singareni Collieries' workers by claiming to support them on the issue of their being deprived of the facility of compassionate employment for the kin of an employee upon the death or retirment of that employee. He demanded that the government do justice in this regard.
The TDP, Congress and Left are extending their support to the AITUC workers' union in the Singareni Collieries elections against Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham which was being supported by the ruling TRS.
