Rajya Sabha member and AICC spokesperson Renuka Chowdhary said that the people of Telangana would achieve their goal of creating a separate state with full dignity and respect.
Talking to media persons, Chowdhary said that the Congress and the government know how and when to announce the formation of a Telangana state.
She remarked that she advises TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao not to complicate the issue by trying to predict the day of the announcement of a separate state. In fact, she also held KCR responsible for the delay in the announcement of a Telangana state. She alleged that KCR was the one who had diluted the agitation for a separate state on several occasions.
Chowdhary said that the Congress high command is seriously considering the issue, and that it is clear about its strategy and deadlines for the announcement of a separate state.
Referring to the demand of the formation of a Greater Rayalaseema, including Khammam district in it, Renuka Chowdhary asserted that the district is a part of the Telangana region, and that it would remain so even after the formation of a separate Telangana state.
She said that government has been contemplating developing Khammam with a master plan, and announced that she would release Rs. 30 crore from her MP funds for the development of the district. (INN)
