K Kavitha, daughter of the chief of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) K Chandrasekhar Rao, has demanded that NTR Junior make his stand on Telangana statehood clear, failing which the screening of his movie Adurs will be disrupted.
NTR Jr, the Tollywood superstar, has campaigned for the Telugu Desam party, and is the son of N Harikrishna, who had said he was in support of a united AP. His spokesperson said the actor appealed to people to cooperate in the film’s release, and that as an actor, he’s here to entertain people of all regions – and the fact prevails whatever the popular opinion on the issue.
Adurs, NTR Jr’s comeback vehicle of sorts after a long hiatus, was supposed to have been released in December. Owing to the Telangana turmoil, it was put off, and it is one of the most awaited releases this Sankranti.
