After having witnessed attacks on movie shootings as well as on theatres screening films all of the last one month during the Telangana uproar, the Movie Artistes Association has appealed to people to cooperate with the film industry.
Producers have said that cinema is entertainment, and not related to politics. They've stated that they are not taking sides, and that there are no regional divides in film industry.
MAA president Muralimohan, a former actor, has appealed to people to cooperate with the releases, and averred that if the industry suffers, several people's lives will be destroyed.
Telangana Jagruthi activitsts, meanwhile, have asked exhibitors to not screen Adurs in the Telangana region. KCR's daughter Kavitha has said that it was the producers' connection with Lagadapati that has prompted the decision to stop screening the movie.
NTR Jr spoke to the media and asserted that he's against no one, and that he respects people of all regions. He went on to declare that he was born in the Telangana region, and that he will even die here. Partition is the decision of political parties, he said.
Producers have reportedly asked for police protection for the release of Adurs, one of last year's most awaited films for December 2009, tomorrow.
