Warning the Union government not to "test the patience of Telangana people", Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao on Monday said the Centre alone would be held responsible for any serious consequences if it delays announcing the formation of a separate Telangana state.
Talking to media persons before leaving to New Delhi for attending the winter session of Parliament, the TRS chief said that "a time frame of 15 days would be given to the Centre" after the submission of the Justice B N Srikrishna Commission's report on the situation in the state.
"Within 15 days of submission of the report, the Centre should start the process of carving out the Telangana state from a united Andhra Pradesh," he stated.
Taking objection over the statements of Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao that he would request Central forces for the state after December, KCR advised the DGP not to make such statements as it would disturb law and order in the state.
KCR said he would appeal to the Justice Srikrishna Committee once again that Hyderabad is a part of Telangana.
The TRS chief urged Union home minister P Chidambaram and finance minister Pranab Mukherjee to stand by their words made in Parliament.
