Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will visit Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh this week along with his family members to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
KCR will reach Vijayawada on May 29 and visit the temple of goddess Kanakadurga atop the Indrakeeladri hill on May 29. The TRS supremo will offer special prayers to the deity, and stay in Vijayawada in the night. The next day, KCR will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the YSR Congress Party chief.
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan will administer the oath of office to Jaganmohan Reddy as Chief Minister.
Jagan had met the Narasimhan and KCR in Hyderabad on May 25. The Governor gave his nod to Jagan to form the government, and the Telangana CM promised to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
In their meeting, Jagan and KCR had discussed about working together for the development of the two Telugu States. KCR has already extended support to the YSRCP in its fight to achieve special category status for AP.
