KCR Suppressing Kodandaram Due To Fear: Congress
V Hanumantha Rao asked KCR, who had said that not even 500 people were coming to Kodandaram's meetings, why he was resorting to arresting the latter.

AICC secretary V Hanumantha Rao today said that the Congress would extend its support to TJAC chairman M Kodandaram, who was arrested yesterday on his way to Warangal to participate in the sixth phase of the Amaraveerula Spoorthi Yatra.
He said that Kodandaram had strength and that was the reason that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was trying to suppress him politically, and that it was atrocious for KCR to behave arrogantly towards a person who fought very hard for the sake of a separate Telangana state.
He found it incomprehensible that the same KCR who had once described Kodandaram as the image of four crore people was now vilifying Kodandaram using abusive language. He asked KCR, who had said that not even 500 people were coming to Kodandaram's meetings, why he was resorting to arresting the latter. "Why is KCR afraid of Kodandaram? And why did KCR appoint Kodandaram as the chairman of the Telangana JAC if he is such a waste fellow?" he asked.
VHR also alleged that KCR was running a police raj in the state. The TRS government was intentionally obstructing Kodandaram's Amaraveerula Spoorthy Yatra using the police, and the police were filing cases against Kodandaram under whatever sections they wished, he claimed. Rao "warned" KCR that the Congress would not keep quiet if anything happened to Kodandaram.
This kind of dictatorial rule was in fact running in both Telugu states, he claimed, stating that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu too was behaving similar to KCR in the case of Mudragada Padmanabham. Naidu, too, hadn't give permission to Mudragada to conduct a padayatra or any public meetings, and was resorting to arresting Mudragada time and again, he said.
