KCR Should Come Clean On His Corona Infection News: Congress
The Congress said that it was strange that the CM was avoiding public appearances and isolating himself at a time that the state was facing the biggest crisis of its history.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy today said that it was strange that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was avoiding public appearances and isolating himself at a time that the state was facing the biggest crisis of its history.
He asked the CM to come clean on news of him being infected by the coronavirus.
"KCR is the CM of the state, and should come out of hiding and clarify on the news of his coronavirus infection," he demanded.
Reddy said that KCR was not behaving like an elected representative but was running the government as if he was a king, and coming out only to give some "sensational" statements once in a while.
Also questioning the speed with which the state government demolished the Secretariat, Reddy said that it was tragic that the government did not choose to use the complex as a quarantine centre for six months at a time like this.
And when the people of the state were suffering in tens of thousands because of the coronavirus, the Chief Minister was not interested to even look into the situation at the ground level, he added.
Several people were increasingly of the view that the Chief Minister was not in his senses, and that the majority of the cabinet members were just dummies.
"For example, I have been trying to reach out to Health Minister Etala Rajendar to enquire about the norms for my proposed Plasma Donors Association, but he has just not been responding," he said.
The state was functioning only because of a few honest officers, he opined.
