Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) leader Manda Krishna Madiga on Friday alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) President K Chandrasekhar Rao was himself sold to the Congress party. Talking to media persons, Krishna Madiga stated that this was evident during the Legislative Council elections, as 3 MLAs, believed to be from the TRS, resorted to cross-voting, thereby cheating the people of Telangana.
Krishna Madiga said that the cross-voting has led to doubts springing up in the minds of the people of Telangana. He wondered if the TRS President would be capable of controlling the 4 crore people of Telangana when he was unable to control 11 MLAs.
The MRPS leader alleged that KCR was the 'main hurdle' in the formation of the Telangana state, and demanded that the TRS chief resign. Madiga suggested that the TRS leaders opt for the party Floor Leader in the Assembly, Etela Rajender, as the new party president.
Continuing his tirade against KCR, Krishna Madiga stated that the TRS leader had lost the confidence of the Telangana people as he had mortgaged their aspirations and interests.
"If the Telangana people believe the words of KCR and his family, their dream of separate statehood will never be realized," he opined.
He also said that he suspected that KCR had clinched a 'secret pact' with the Congress, and that he had tried to postpone the Million March and delay the non-cooperation agitation of the Telangana employees till May.
Condemning the
destruction of the statues of Telugu luminaries on the Tank Bund during the Million March on March 10th, the MRPS leader described it as a heinous act that would hurt the sentiments of all Telugu people.
