The CM showed the draft policy to representatives of CII, the Telangana Industrialists Welfare Federation and FAPCCI, who complimented it.
Hyderabad | 29th September 2014
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has sought suggestions from industrialists on the proposed new industrial policy and the legislation.

Representatives of CII, the Telangana Industrialists Welfare Federation and the Federation of AP Chambers of Commerce & Industry called on the Chief Minister on Monday afternoon in the State Secretariat.

The Chief Minister explained in brief the proposed industrial policy and single window system, his government's aim of zero corruption, reducing interference by too many departments in issuing permissions and licences, and other connected initiatives.

While broadly complimenting the draft given to them, the representatives of CII, FAPCCI and the Telangana Industrialists Welfare Federation told the Chief Minister that the proposed industrial policy should be system-driven.

They said that when it becomes an Act, the policy will be one of the best legislations.

They however said that they would come back with a few more suggestions shortly.

Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Principal Secretary S Narsinga Rao, Special Chief Secretary (Industries) Pradeep Chandra, Advisor to the Government Paparao, CMD TS Genco D Prabhakar and Secretary (Energy) S K Joshi were present in the meeting. (INN)
