KCR Praises K Jayashankar, Gooda Anjaiah
CM K Chandrashekar Rao today paid rich tributes to Telangana agitation activist K Jayashankar and famous poet Gooda Anjaiah on their death anniversary.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today paid rich tributes to Telangana agitation activist and ideologue Prof K Jayashankar and famous poet, singer, lyricist, and writer Gooda Anjaiah on the death anniversary of the two.
KCR praised Jayashankar as an ideologue who "toiled throughout his life to spread the philosophy of a separate Telangana during the statehood movement" and as an intellectual who always "dreamed about achieving self-governance" for the people of the region.
He recalled the services rendered by the famed activist and stated that the Telangana government was implementing his vision and ideas in its policies.
"The marginalised sections of our society have today become self-reliant as our government has worked in tandem with Prof Jayashankar's ideals. Telangana is paying a befitting tribute to him by reforming each sector to become more inclusive. As a result, our state is catching up with other states in the country in terms of development across several sectors," KCR gushed.
The CM then recalled the contributions of famous poet-writer Gooda Anjaiah to the state and its culture and said that the latter's works had become a potent symbol of the "living philosophy and cultural consciousness" of the marginalised classes.
He lauded Anjaiah for his rousing poetry and his contributions to the Telangana agitation as well.
"Gooda Anajaih had always wished that the SC, ST, BC, and minority communities be able to live with dignity, economic equality, and social respect. Our government is making this dream a reality. By implementing several welfare and development schemes for the benefit of the marginalised, our government has been honouring the legacy and ideas of the great poet in the best way possible," he asserted.
