KCR Planning Rs 1 lakh Assistance To Muslim Families Soon
Minister T Harish Rao today said that CM K Chandrashekar Rao was actively considering a proposal to extend Rs 1 lakh in assistance to deserving Muslim families.
Minister for Finance T Harish Rao today said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was actively considering a proposal to extend Rs 1 lakh in financial assistance to deserving Muslim families, and would very soon share this good news with them.
"It is known that the State government recently launched a scheme for people from backward classes involved in traditional occupations wherein the get Rs 1 lakh financial assistance. Now the Chief Minister is planning to extend the scheme to deserving families of the minority community, too," Rao said.
Rao along with Home Minister Mahmood Ali felicitated BRS leaders from minority communities appointed as chairpersons of different corporations, at Jal Vihar in the city today.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao said that the people from the Muslim community were still languishing in poverty across the country, and were backward economically because of the lopsided policies of the Congress in the past.
Rao claimed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao always showed love and affection for the Muslims, and that Mahmood Ali has been made minister twice, and said that the State government had made a budgetary allocation of Rs 2,200 crore this year for Muslims, and that it was the highest ever budget allocated for the development of the Muslim community so far.
He also said that Telangana was the State in the country where the most number of Muslim girls were studying, and that Urdu medium too had been made available in the minority residential schools.
