On the occasion of the 6th Telangana Formation Day, CM K Chandrashekar Rao today paid tributes at the Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park.
On the occasion of the sixth Telangana Formation Day, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today paid tributes at the Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park, and later hoisted the national flag at Pragathi Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM conveyed his greetings to people of the state. He said that the dreams of those who fought for statehood for the region were getting fulfilled, and declared that the government would rededicate itself today to the all-round development and welfare of the people.
Speaking of his government's achievements, KCR claimed that at the time of the formation of the state the situation of the farmers and agriculture was disastrous, but Telangana stood number one in the country in agriculture today.
He also said that people used to suffer due to lack of drinking water during the summers, but now through Mission Bhagiratha that problem had been solved forever.
The CM also expressed satisfaction over the progress that he claimed had taken place in education, health, industry including IT, irrigation and other sectors.
He said that the journey of Telangana was progressing on expected lines.
