Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today paid floral tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof. Jayashankar on the occasion of the latter's fourth death anniversary, at Telangana Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, the TRS supremo said that Jayashankar used to continuously explain about the injustices being meted out to Telangana in undivided Andhra Pradesh and the benefits to be achieved through a separate state for the region. Sure enough, the state was now scaling new heights in every sector. The rapid growth and development of the state, and the following of his ideology, would certainly give peace to Jayashankar's soul, KCR said.
The TRS government had Jayashankar as its inspiration in taking up the cause of the poor and deprived classes, he said, and would follow in his footsteps to offer the best services to the people of Telangana.
IT Minister K T Rama Rao also garlanded the Jayashankar statue, and said that the State would usher in a era of development with focus on the welfare of the poor and the downtrodden.
The TRS Government was emulating Prof Jayashankar and making every effort to implement his ideology, he added. (NSS)
