KCR Offers Silk Clothes To Divine Couple At Yadadri

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today witnessed the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyanotsavam at Yadadri / Yadagirigutta in the Nalgonda district.
On behalf of the State government, KCR and his wife Shobha offered silk clothes and "mutyala talambralu" to the presiding deities.
Accompanied by their grandson Himanshu, the KCR couple attended special pujas performed on the occasion.
The temple priests and officials had earlier welcomed the Chief Minister and his team of ministers, MPs and MLAs with a Purnakumbham as per the tradition. The priests also offered a photograph of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha to the couple and blessed them.
In the morning, the Lord was presented to the devotees as Sri Rama. His Consort and He were taken in a procession on Hanumantha Vahanam through the Mada streets. The deities were then brought to the Mandapam on the Garuda Vahanam, with the traditional music and chanting of hymns. The hill shrine was beautifully decorated with flowers and colourful lights, and the chanting of Vedic hymns rent the air. Elaborate security arrangements and facilities were also made for the visit of the Chief Minister to the temple. The temple authorities also telecast the Kalyanotsavam through the temple's official website www.yadagirigutta.in.
Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy, MP Dr Boora Narsaiah Goud, Government Whip G Sunitha, Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy, Temple EO Geetha, ZP Chairperson Balu Naik and officials were present during the CM's visit.
On Wednesday night, Governor E S L Narasimhan and his spouse Vimala Narasimhan attended the Kalyanotsavam of the Lord, at 10 pm.
