KCR Meets Modi, Seeks More Assembly Seats, Bison Polo
The Telangana CM, who is in the national capital to attend Ram Nath Kovind's swearing in, had a meeting with the PM and made several requests.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take a call on increasing the Assembly seats in the two Telugu states and resolve the issues of Telangana as per the A P Bifurcation Act, including that of bifurcation of the High Court. He also sought the transfer of some defence lands including the Bison polo grounds to the state government for the construction of a new Secretariat complex, and permission for the construction of road over bridges.
KCR, who is in the national capital to attend Ram Nath Kovind's swearing in as 14th President of India, had a meeting with Modi, and made these requests.
The Chief Minister had extended support to the Narendra Modi government over the demonetization, GST, and Presidential and Vice-Presidential election issues, and has thereby created a favourable equation with the Centre, which might enable the state get its help and assistance for development works.
According to informed sources, KCR urged the BJP government at the Centre to also release funds for flagship programs and backward districts.
The Chief Minister had also met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday and sought funds for the construction of roads, taking up development works in Naxal-infested areas, and modernization of the police department in the state. He called on union minister Arun Jaitley and senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu and sought their cooperation and release of funds for the state.
