KCR Lacks Clarity On Major Policies: Ponnala
The Telangana Congress chief said the High Court's remarks against the government on the FAST scheme were a tight slap on the face of the Chief Minister.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Tuesday accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of lacking clarity in all the major policies of the State government.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Ponnala said that the High Court's remarks against the State government on the Financial Assistance to the Students of Telangana (FAST) scheme were a tight slap on the face of the Chief Minister.
Accusing KCR of running without any direction, he said that some policy decisions taken by the TRS government were proving to be thorns in the flesh for the State.
He said that the Chief Minister should learn lessons from the observations of the High Court and take corrective steps immediately.
Ponnala advised KCR to consult capable people for right advice on major issues.
He also accused the Chief Minister of diluting his promises. He condemned KCR for adding a rider to the farmers' loan waiver scheme, and also for maintaining silence over the Kantanapally project.
Reminding that KCR had promised to revive the Nizam Sugar Factory, he said that the Chief Minister did not even conduct a review meeting on the subject.
The Telangana Congress chief also announced his support for the Adarsa Rythu dharna to be held at Indira Park on September 25.
When asked about the controversy over the Raidurg land allotment for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project, Ponnala said that all the allegations being levelled against him were false, and that he was ready to face any probe.
However, he maintained that a Gaming City should come up on the land, which is currently under dispute.
With regard to the constitution of the Congress Coordination Committee, he said that the Committee was appointed by the Party High Command, and therefore anyone having objections should approach the senior leadership in Delhi. (INN)
