Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah strongly condemned the state government's decision to ban the entry of media personnel into the state secretariat.
Speaking to media persons at Gun Park on Friday, Ponnala said that the media had played a major role in the formation of Telangana, and by imposing restrictions upon their entry into the secretariat, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was insulting the entire media fraternity.
He alleged that KCR was trying to prevent the media from exposing his failures.
He said that the Chief Minister appeared to be angry with the media for continuously exposing his failures. Instead of taking corrective steps, he was now trying to target the media by imposing restrictions on their movements.
Ponnala said that the Congress would launch a strong protest against the government's move. (INN)
