Nizamabad MP K Kavitha today said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was making efforts to keep the promise of providing jobs to the children/dependents of the Singareni Collieries workers.
She was addressing a meeting after leaders and activists of the TNTUC and HMS trade unions, affiliated to other political parties, joined the Telangana Coal Mine Workers Union supported by the TRS, at Telangana Bhavan in the presence of Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar, Telangana State Representative in Delhi S Venugopala Chary and others.
Speaking on the occasion, the MP alleged that the opposition parties were moving the courts against jobs to dependents as they were worried that the move would fetch a good name to the government. Their conspiracy against the workers' welfare was known to everyone, she stated.
She said that the Chief Minister was aware of the problems of the workers, and the fact that they stood by the separate statehood movement. The government was sincere about the issue and was making all-out efforts to ensure that the children of the Singareni workers got their parents' jobs, she said.
She exhorted the gathering to elect the leaders supported by the TRS in the elections in the Singareni Collieries.
