On the occasion of the Telugu New Year Sri Hevalambi Nama Samvatsara Ugadi on Wednesday, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao extended his greetings to the people of the state.
The CM expressed hope that the people would see happiness and prosperity, and desire that the development and welfare schemes of the government would reach the people.
The Chief Minister also expressed his happiness over the Indian cricket team winning the four-match Test series against the Australian team and congratulated the winning Indian team. He said that it was heartening to note that the Indian cricket team had excelled in all departments of the game and retained its Number 1 position.
The Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan, too, conveyed his wishes to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana today.
"On this happy and auspicious occasion of Ugadi, I extend my warmest greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and to the Telugu people all over the world. Ugadi is a festival of joy and hope, and brings with it new cheer and expectation for a bright future. I am confident that Sri Hevalambi Nama Samvatsaram will usher in peace, prosperity, harmony and happiness for all the people," he said.
