KCR, Naidu Both Skip Governor's At Home Party

The "At Home" party thrown by Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan as part of the 67th Republic Day celebrations failed to see the Chief Ministers of both the Telugu States attending it.

Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao and his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu abstained from attending the event for different reasons.

However, ministers from the two States joined the vibrant event where the Governor made it a point to greet everyone with particular warmth and enthusiasm.

Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Deputy Chief Ministers Kadiam Srihari and Mahamood Ali, Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy and other ministers attended from Telangana.

AP saw Council Chairman Chakrapani, ministers D Umamaheshwar Rao, K Acchen Naidu and P Sujatha, and others turn up.

Also present were some of the Padma awardees like Eenadu group chairman Ramoji Rao and Y Lakshmi Prasad, and some film personalities, officials and other invitees. (NSS)
