KCR Attends But Naidu Skips Governor's "At Home"
The event is aimed at bringing together all the top political leaders and prominent bureaucrats/citizens of the two Telugu states for a get-together.
Hyderabad | 26th January 2019
Governor E S L Narasimhan today hosted his annual "At Home" at Raj Bhavan to mark the 70th Republic Day celebrations.
The event is aimed at bringing together all the top political leaders and prominent bureaucrats/citizens of the two Telugu states (since Narasimhan is Governor of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) for a get-together.
This year Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao attended the program but his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Chandrababu Naidu chose to give it a miss and sent his deputy K E Krishna Murthy.
It would have been awkward if KCR and Naidu both attended given how badly KCR attacked Chandrababu Naidu after the former won the December Telangana Assembly elections.
Those present included Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali, TRS Working President K T Rama Rao, former Governor K Rosaiah, TPCC chief N Utham Kumar Reddy, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Congress leader K Jana Reddy, TDP chief L Ramana, Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan, CPI Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, BJP president K Laxman, former union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Telangana CEO Rajat Kumar and others.
Many former ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and noted personalities were also present in the program.
