KCR Chandi Yagam: Preliminary Pujas Performed
As a prelude to his five-day-long Ayutha Chandi Maha Yagam from December 23 to 27, KCR performed Ganapathi and cow pujas at his Erravalli farmhouse today.
As a prelude to the five-day-long Ayutha Chandi Maha Yagam he is going to perform from December 23 to 27, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today performed Ganapathi and cow pujas at 10:55 am at his Erravalli farmhouse in the Medak district.
This ritual was conducted also to mark the auspicious occasion of Vaikuntha / Mukkoti Ekadasi, by a set of brahmins under the tutelage of Sringeri seers, including V Phanisasanka Sarma, Gopikrishna Sarma and Ch Harinatha Sarma.
Along with his spouse Shobha, the Chief Minister participated in a Ganapathi puja to overcome obstacles and a cow puja for the smooth conduct of the ritual.
The Kanchi seers performed the pujas which are the basis for the future yagam, and blessed the KCR couple.
They also participated in pujas to appease local deities like Pochamma and Yellamma by breaking coconuts at the site.
The entire farmhouse has been spruced up and is ready with all facilities for the yagam that will be performed as per the traditions of the Sringeri Sarada Peetham.
